so im getting ready to put together my turbo kit but i want to build the bottom end a little bit first. i want to change out the rods and pistons. im lookin at eagle rods. and i was wondering if i could use ctr pistons in my b18a. im not askin if this is the best setup. just if it would work? and if so then how do i recognize a ctr piston so i kno someone isnt just sellin me some ls pistons or somethin. what kind of shape do they have or what markings
lol well it is a noob question, so i already figured its a noob builder. not even gonna bother telling its not a good idea but whatever. good luck on your high comp turbo build
High compression and boost is fine (well moderate compression and boost), however OEM pistons and the mix of those 2 arent going to work out well at all. Plus the eagles use a full float wrist pin and the CTR pistons dont have locks on them, so thats not gonna work real well either. I'd recommend doing ALOT more research and then getting something more inline with your project like some wiseco or SRP 9.5:1s or something.
