Default Need help with exhaust choice....

Alright I'm not asking you what exhaust I should get for sound I have already decided on my choice. Im going with an RSR, My question is this I have a 1996 Ej6 but blew the existing Y7 so went with a 2000 D16Y8 as the replacement. kept the Y8 Exhaust manifold and am getting an EX replacement cat so how do I get piping to work can I get a an Ex cat back and have it bolt up properly or am I going to have to go to an exhaust shop? I went a little while ago and they quoted me 400$ just to replace the piping and make it so the axleback sits properly Nio way in hell... So if anybody has anything that could help me let me know thanks.

my thoughts are if u get the exhaust for an em1, it will bolt up with the y8 cat. The under body is all the same correct? as long as the exhaust states for a b series you will be fine.

otherwise the exhaust will be shorter to comp for the longer y7 header.

correct me if im wrong..

order it and see what happens if it doesnt fit take a look at it, chop up the parts that wont fit and just tack it back together...tack all the way around then finish the bead...not TOO hard

I cooouullld do that if i had a welder and if I go to the muffler shop I know they will charge more that the exhaust itself cost lol. I'll do a little more looking around see if there is any company making the setup. If anybody else has anything else let me know and thanks so far.
