oil change meter didnt reset

yah i jes got an oilchange and some shop, but the meter for my oil life didnt change, when i got oil changes at the dealership the meter always went back to 100%. is there some way to reset it? or my sensor is messed upers?

You can reset it yourself. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to.

Its in the manual... but since im in a giving mood, press select button til you see oil life.. press and hold again til everything starts to blink..release and press again nd hold til it resets

press select till you see your oil meter

press and hold reset for at least 10 seconds. it should start blinking

release..

press and hold again.

try this enough times and your bound to get it

there was a thread on this a while back. the oil life meter is not a sensor, its just a computer that calculates about how much oil should be there according to mileage, average rpms, etc.

On my 07 SI you need to have the key in the II (2) position to do this.

Turn your key to 2 (II), cycle to the oil life meter, Hold Select/reset for 10 seconds or until it begins to flash and then hold if for an additional 5 seconds or until it resets.
