2001 prelude with JDM type s h22 and lsd tranny (89Kmiles)
Hy-Tech Header
Skunk 2 intake manifold with 67mm tb (worst mod ever hahaha)
AEM COLD AIR INTAKE with custom alluminum flowstack
Greddy Evo 2 exhaust (kinda ricey looking to upgrade)
Megan Racing Test Pipe
Aem tru power pulleys
UR crank Pulley
Ngk Plugs Wires

Superchargers make way too much heat on H22s and the only option is JR. Unless you want a centrifugal which no one makes a kit for...

without upgrading cams....no...and even then, 30whp on 11:1 compression is a stretch.

what does 250 mean to you? what it going to help you accomplish?

get rid of the vafc and get a better tuning program.

Yeah, there's a lot of stuff inside the engine you haven't even touched yet. Do you have any dyno sheets for your 220whp? Seems unlikely with just those bolt-ons, but then it all depends on how the dyno reads, conditions, etc...

The right cams will do a lot for you if you set up everything else to work with them like your compression ratio, good headwork, bigger valves, possibly ITBs, etc. Also loose the balance shafts, and the AEM pullies aren't really doing anything...you'll gain more from getting rid of PS.

i mean 300whp isnt going to happen all motor. ive seen 275whp and he spent a grip on his setup at its not a daily driver. he has his setup for sale. your best best would be what blake said. get some higher compression pistons..maybe go oversized pistons then some cams and get a good tune like crome. or you could get a leaf blower and hook it up to your intake. intstant power. lamo jk not a good idea

Those numbers are high....
HyTech is a Top3 header builder....$800 is a good price!
Try some Cams.....Digging up some used Stage2 Skunks may be an idea.
Are you sure its a TypeS motor? What is the tranny code?

you can tune a motor fairly well with crome.

I agreed with everyone else, except for this:

Why isn't or can't it happen?? Everyone says this.. Just because you haven't seen it done, doesn't mean it doesn't exist nor that it can't happen.

So all the guys that have pulled out 270-280whp have hit the limits on NA H22s?

crome is a good tuner. everyone asks like hondata is the only way to go. neptune and crome are just as good for half da price.

i dont know. just saying ive been around a lot of hondas and never seen it done. why dont you be the ginny pig and see if it can be done. i doubt he wants to spend a nice grip on a NA build like that. and yea you may want to make sure you have a type s engine. a lot of ppl see a read valve cover and think it is.

yes i bought the type s for 3600 on Hmotors.com ....i do reccommend going to them for engines if u never heard of them i can contest to their validity...it was a type s i got it done almost 2 years ago....i forget the guys name but he said it was around 30k on the engine when i got it...anyways i would love 250whp im deff going to expletive with internals such as cams valves valve springs and possibly port and polish her...i belive these motors are most deff capable of achieving 300whp na...just gonna be alot of money...ive always wanted itb but i dont know what it would do with my current setup...as far as dyno sheets i don't have them they were thrown out spring cleaning last year when i had it dynoed...

Keeeeep on luddding

Well, to give you an idea. My friend just dynoed his EuroR motor with a HyTech and Pro2's to the tune of 210whp/160tq. DON'T compare these to your numbers as it was a different dyno.
My .02:
Shave head
Thin head gasket
Cams and Valvetrain
See where that lands you. If you want to build a motor, theres no reason to rip apart your TypeS to do that.

easy boys...i bought the motor because the original motor had compression issues and 160k on it...i had some left over money from when my father passed away and decided to get the type s and i also liked the deal they had with the transmission,....funny that i need to explain to yall why i got it but hey no big deal....anyways eventually i will be doing some internals to beef her up a bit.thanks for your help yall im going to prolly tune either hondata or chrome
