Default EGR/check engine light

I replaced the EGR on my '98 Prelude, but the check engine light came back on after 15-miles. I bought a regulator solenoid and will install it tomorrow night. If that doesn't keep the CEL from coming on, does anyone have any ideas of what to do next?

Ladies and gentlemen. If the Egr being cleaned out and or replaced doesnt work, I recomend cleaning out the EGR ports on the intake mani before replacing any other parts.

To clean the egr ports you have to remove the IM from the engine. For more info there is another thread on the honda-prelude page here.

Some one needs to tell people yet again just because the cell pops up a particular part, that the part is even whats wrong. Chances are its not even that part but something that leads up to it. Clean your intake manifold out before you replace any more parts.
