is it worth tuning this early into the game?
I want to tune my car to get some more ponies out her, but I am starting to wonder if I should wait till I have more modifications done to it. Right now I have an ls vtec b16 head, with aem short ram intake, greddy sp-2 cat back, edelbrok intake manifold, tpye r intake cam, skunk 2 chip. I plan on getting cam gears and a throttle body asap. My question is should I look into buying a tune, and if i do, what if i decide to add more mods, am gonna have to take the current chip out, and get anthor one? I am such a n00b when it comes to chips and all the help is gonna be greatly helpful. Thanks guys
Go get hondata, neptune, or something that you can use to dyno tune. If you have the money now to tune than i think you should and after you have everything else than tune it again afterwards.

^ Thats what i would say. With what you listed having on your car, A good dyno tune could get you 15+ HP.

Not just that, you car will run better. It will have very close to perfect fuel maps

I think im gonna go with a hondata, how much are they, and what stage (wrong terminology i know) would u suggest. And when i get the chip, do i need to take it somewhere to get tuned? Srry guys im a n00b at this stuff.
take it to your local performance shop with a dyno and tell them you want it tuned. They should be able to get you the right parts like hondata or another system and have it tuned and put in for you.

Fined a shop with a good rep'. a motor is only as good as its tune!
2 things kill cars like no other: 1 oil starvation. 2 bad tunes.

I think i am going to go with a hondata chip, there are three chip. The s100, 200, and 300. Which one would you guys suggest I purchase, seeing how I want to boost in the next year, and plan to keep adding bolt on throughout the year?

That’s what they offer.
I would say go with the "Stage 4", That way you can re-tune every time you get new parts.
And be getting the best out of your setup at all times.
(If you are thinking about going with a turbo some time down the line, Make sure you get a "Stage 4b")
Go with what ever you think is best for you.
It is your car and you’re the one that has to drive it.

Install hondata S100 and get your adjustible cam gears, then have it properly
dynoed-tuned. You can always have it redone with more mods. It will run much
better when properly tuned.
