Default new intake... need help

I'm new here so bare with me. Well i have a 94 Honda Accord EX with V-tec and i bought a cold air intake off ebay, those cheaps ones. i was going to put it on today, but i noticed that there is this one box, thats connected on the buttom of the stock intake and has some kind of tubing that i have no clue what they are, like if they are vacum lines or wahtever they are, which won't go on my new cold air intake tube. I took it to a auto shop and they said its some kind of vaporizing thing and is not recomended to be taken off. What can i do so i can put on my cold air intake???

So here's some pictures of what i'm talking about.

You can take all those off. They are resonators. Not some vaporizing device.... They are only on EX models I believe. When you hit VTEC, it silences the sound.

Those vacuum lines, you can remove them. Trace them to the firewall and plug your lines there. My AEM came with a rubber plug, but find some way to plug it. There is also an electrical connector hook up to that solenoid. You can leave it unplug. But i suggest covering it with electrical tape and set it aside.

good luck! I was happy when I installed my CAI. I have the same setup in my car. I was scared to take all those off, but that's how it's suppose to be. AEM has online PDF on their CAI install. Go to their site.

Take off the tube that goes to the intake main, the air filter box, the box below the front passenger corner below the air filter box, and any lines on aforementioned parts that aren't connected to the engine.
