Default 325WHP B16 Turbo Setup

Hey guys. I started working on my Turbo B16 project and my original goal was to make 230whp with 440cc injectors. Now I came across SRP Turbo Pistons, Eagle Rods, new bearings and rings for $350. All brand new. So I popped all that good stuff in the motor and now I'm curious to know if the 440cc injectors will still be good for higher boost. Say 17-18psi on a 60 trim turbo. I want to make 300-325whp. What size injectors do you guys think I should run? Or will the 440's hold out?

you need bigger injectors if you want to SAFELY hit 325whp

at that power you will be VERY close to maxing the injectors out

i'd at least get some 550's or bigger... preferably 750's so you have room to work with

Have not done it myself but from the set up i had in my car which made 329hp atw i had 550's and they were close to maxing.

So i guess if you mean atw yes they may max out or at the flywheel it should be fine.

Hope that helps.

Just be safe and get larger injectors. Its not worth blowing your engine.

This is My opinion

-- I personally would go with any where from 680-780's 680's will get you there. They will have a high duty cycle be worked alittle harder.. 780's well low duty get a break and they have a cushion .

-- another thing to consider is fuel delivery. I personaly have a 255 pump and did the relay mod. I have 424 at 23psi i started to lean out not enough voltage to my pump.. but anyway look in to delivery as well your motor and injectors will love you.

What kind of fuel economy do you guys see? This is my daily driver and I'd like to get decent gas mileage and be able to walk an STI at the same time. I also have a Walboro 255lph fuel pump. I have a 543whp 1994 RX7 as the weekend warrior and it has 1680cc injectors and is horrible on gas. What do you guys think?

I also saw your dyno vid and street run. I'm just curious, do you have an LSD in your car?

Rotaries are a far different cry from honda characteristics. Apples to Grapes comparison.

Mileage is mainly in the tune and your lead foot. I can get about 25mpg if I keep my foot light, and that's on 850cc injectors.

For starters, those 440s wont get you even close so forget that idea. Also, 17-18psi on a 60 trim will be near 400whp unless your setup is horribly inefficient...plan accordingly
