Shipping dropped motor- need advice on damage
I put up a thread a few months ago about all the carnage that Seko Worldwide did to my H22. Needless to say it has been a PIA getting all the parts that were damaged.
Well i started to do the swap and what do you know i find more damage.
Took off the crank pulley and lower timing cover to inspect and I found a timing belt tensionor (sp?) snapped off. Not only that but it snapped off part of the block where it mounts. what can i do here ? have the little piece welded back on ? just use a longer bolt with a spacer? i mean this is tough because it basically keeps pressure on the TB so i dont want to go ghetto if you know what i mean- see pics
any insight would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics- at the shop now and its all i have available !!

Maybe i'm seeing the picture wrong, but isn't that on the Water Pump? Could you just get a new Water pump and this would fix the problem? That isn't actually part of the block, unless i'm seeing that picture wrong.

x2
that's on your water pump, you should be able to pull it off and just replace it.

yep....you really needed to replace it anyway. congratulations!! you can breath now.
p.s.- if you have an auto tensioner on there now would be the perfect time to convert to a manual tensioner.
