One way plates to buy car
Hello everyone, sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum! that is because im still a trial member. But mods can move it! But anyways im buying a Del Sol from another state and i was wondering where i can get one way plates to drive it back down to my state? Or temp plates? My Dmv told me that i can get temp plates but that means i would have to drive to the other state and pick up the bill of sale and the title to do that, but the guy just wants me to buy the car right off his hands just in case he thinks i might forge his signature. But do you guys no any solution to my problem or ideas? Would i be able to use dealer plates or something? Help! LOL
Yeah i know about that! my main concern is how am i bringing the car to my state? I mean the car is driveable but not legal enough to be driven in the highways without being registered! i dont want state police to pull me over for some fake plates on the car, and than charge me and my insurance will sky rocket up lol... So how will i bring my car back home lol..
lols, way too much for my cost. What if i use my old civic plates that i just unregistered? And let my friend follow me for 4 hours on the highway behind me? Safe or stupidity? LOL? Or should i just try to get some dealer plates?

what is way too much for your budget? renting a trailer or posting bail? because you can rent a car dolly from uhaul for <50 dollars. you will be paying much more when you get arrested driving on fraudulent plates.
You can put in transit on your car and as long as you have car insurance on another car or truck it will cover your new car for 2 weeks. I did this with one of my cars and my motorcycle. My insurance company which is state farm said this is okay. Just what I have heard.

Also make sure you contact you insurance company so they are on board just incase something happens. You shouldn't have any problems with State Farm. keep your bill of sale handy incass you get pulled over. You might also want to get a membership with AAA get the pacage with the 100 mile towing. It will cover any car that you are in.
