Default Quick Audio Question

Hi guys . I found some decent MB-Quart speakers in my garage they are 6.5" I want to put them in my 00 ap1. There power holding is 60-130 watt. Is the stock 00 ap1 headunit capable of powering these with no amp????

yeah it will power them but most stock radios only put out about 10-20 watts a speaker. amplifying those speakers would be the best way to go. a small 2 channel would do fine unless you've added speakers and then you would need a 4 channel.

I was thinking that too with the whole extra harness for all the buttons to work that are on the left side of the dash. But I kinda dont want to mess around with that right now. Plus im not a big audio buff. Just wanted some reasurence that the speakers would work. But I will deff hit you up around spring time. Cause with the top down Im going to need some more sound.

yeah no worries... it takes like 20 mins to install a new headunit... and modifry.com sells the devices that make the buttons on the left side work with any aftermarket headunit
