HELP!!!CAMBER WEAR
I have an eg with some coilovers. The car is sitting pretty low. One tire was blown from the camber wear. I am thinking about changing cambers. Is that neccessary? The camber wear happens to all four tires.HELP!!!!!
you needed an alignment. that tire wear was not caused by the change in camber, but from the change in toe that also happens when you lower a car.
buy new tires and get a 4 wheel alignment.
dont waste you money with a camber kit. it wont help.

i dunno why ppl ever have a problem.
ive never had a problem with telling a shop to just align the toe.
most alignment techs i talk to do know that toe is what wears tires unevenly. its only ppl on honda tech that insist its the camber.

So when you get a alignment you would have to tell the alignment tech to set your toe to zero correct? I'm just wondering why wouldn't alignment techs know this? I've been running my skunk2 front camber kit w/ rear washer trick and i've seen no wear what so ever.
I"m not trying to say your wrong Tyson, but im just speaking from personal experience.
* Note- i drive roughly 80-100miles a week, 2.0-2.5inchs all around

and did you also get your toe corrected?
how did you adjust your camber?
you should know that when you adjust the camber positive, it also brings the alignment back in the direction that it originally was. but without measuring anything, youll never know know where it finally lies.
ride height affects camber and toe.
camber affects toe.
toe affects tire wear.

i just took my car to a reputiable alignment shop and had them do my alignment for me. The only thing i did was bolt up my sk2 front camber kit.
So as i asked above, whats the process in a regular alignment? If your not equipped with a camber kit do they adjust the toe? Or what other parts of the suspension do they adjust?

for a civic, its just adjust toe.
and thats all you needed. forget that they adjusted your camber with your new camber kits. it was the toe adjustment that has saved your tires thus far.
so please stop saying that because you put a camber kit on, and got an alignment done, that the camber kit has saved your tires. it was the toe alignment.
