Default pcv valve removal help

Im trying to remove the pcv valve on my 2000 ex and im having trouble. While trying to pull the valve out it broke so now the black half is stuck in the hole. Is there an easy way to get it out? I tried prying it out with a screwdriver but its not helping. Anyone know if this part #2 be removed from the chamber? Is that chamber hard to get out? I can see one of the bolts from under the car but it looks like its held in with two bolts. Thanks.

Number 2 is supposed to stay in there. I hope you didn't damage it, its the rubber grommet that holds the pcv valve in place. just push in the new valve and your done.

removed both bolts and that canister wont budge. Only choice is going to be to remove the intake manifold.

you just have to give it a good pull. you could take off the manifold but man thats some unnecessary hassle for the pcv valve. good luck.

if your pcv is placed in the intake manifold you first have to soften the rubber grommet that holds it in place. A kettle of boiled water or a heat gun will be the solution
