Default itr IM in B16A2

Is it worth it?

I searched the forum and seems that all agree that in a stock B16A it's very short the rpm range that will be improved with this mod.

My question is if in a B16A with stage 1 cams, like for example Toda Spec A, the itr IM will be a good match and bring good gains over stock IM.

Thanks in advance

On an otherwise stock B16A?

No.

On one with upgraded cams?

Sure.

Would this B16A2 happen to reside in a 99-00 Civic Si?

If so then good luck with getting the most from those cams and IM upgrade, because OBD2 sucks *** and isn't tunable. you can get an OBD1 jumper harness and ECU, but if you live in an emissions state it might be a PITA ach year when you need to pass smog to get your tag. In GA it's a PITA having any nicely tuned/modded OBD2 cars.

Amen!

Cool then yeah I'd get the intake manifold, IM gasket, cams, some trustworthy cam gears of your choice, valvecover gasket, spark plug tube seals, possibly top washers/grommets, some Hondabond, some engine assembly lube, and a torquewrench and go to town! Don't forget to cut the valvecover and upper timing cover to adjust the cam timing once you begin tuning.

Relax men , all that job was done one year ago, i'm now just trying to free up some power and was thinking swap the IM. The rest you've mentioned is all already in the B16A (Toda spec A cams, Toda cam pulleys, itr valve springs and Spoon 2 layer HeadGasket, cutted valve cover ... )

BTW: i'm from portugal, here we don't have 99-00 si's. I'm owner of an civic ek4 HB but is also powered by B16A2
