Default a friendly reminder...

please don't be total douchebags.

i was working in the garage when i hear the unmistakable sound of 2 sportbikes screaming up my street. veeeeeeeeerooooooooooooooo

except, the problem is, i live on a small residential street whose speed limit is 25 mph. this is the same street where i got turned in front of by a cage doing 25 mph and wrecked my 675 and arm. so imagine my displeasure when i see a pair of squids, in shorts and leather jackets (?????) buzz my house doing 45.

look, i know some of you ******s think that bc you ride an r1/gsxr6 with yosh pipes, you think you're invcincible, thats fine go test that out in isolation. but the children, dogs, and residents in my neighborhood are not, so if you could please slow the expletive down, itd be greatly appreciated.

Good luck with your thread, but most of the riders on h-t seem to be pretty responsible. Not to mention I don't think most squids can read.

I remember when I was a kid there was this guy speeding back and forth up my block testing out his bike. One of my neighbors ran outside when the rider was on his 4-5th trip up the block and chucked a brick at him while he was riding by. Never saw that guy again. *hint* *hint*

yeah i'm sure all the regs know what i'm talking about, but just in case the lurkers/noobs don't know now they do.

i was going to run out there and stop them, but they came back down my street just as fast as they went up.

squids.

though i hate cagers who buzz my house too.

We had the same problem and a guy on my street beat me to stopping them. They were driving down our dead end, turning around, then back out, so he waiting for them to drive in, backed his dually out across the road, and waiting on them to come back out. Never seen them again.

Living in the 626 as well, I hear the same thing. There's always another "gixxer" in my neighborhood who thinks he has to prove something to me or something. The sad part is that my neighbors probably assume it's me. Makes it even worse when there's an elementary school across the street from my house as well..

You guys are lucky that it's only bikes.
I have two schools within a couple blocks and kids all over. Who's speeding? The parents in their SUVs doing 50 in a 25. Drives me nuts.

I almost never see squids tearing it up in my area. I guess I'm lucky.

On nice riding days, I'll get these types of douche bags doing the same thing up my street. Sometimes going as fast as 65-75 mph. Sometimes it is a pack of them. I've been tempted to "accidentally" kick a soccer ball at them. They do this crap with kids playing outside a an elementary school 4 houses down.

By my house the squids are not on superbikes
most of the riders by me have really loud harleys and choppers and they make way more of a distubance then the superbikes do. at 3 in the morning the ride firs and second gear so the whole damn neighborhood can hear thier bikes. Not only that but the speed to high hell, the go 50-60 into 30 and dont wear any gear, while smoking a cigarette and listening to Rush on their bike radios. All the guys I ride with that live buy me that have superbikes take it easy untill we get to the curves and get out on the country roads, the Harley and choppers guys (I like both harleys and choppers by the way) ride way more crazy in traffic and suburban ares then i ever do, maybe its cuz the cops dont mess with them and if we go 10 of the speed limit they wanna give us a reckless driving ticket.
