Just to introduce myself...
Hi guys,
I'm new on this forum, and I would like to introduce myself:
First of all I hope you'll forgive my not-so-good English, since I am not American or Canadian: I live in France at the time ( I am French/ Morrocan), but I'm going to live in Canada in the next few months and I would like to meet Honda and Acura fans in North America.
I've just sold my 00 EUDM ITR (in Europe the ITR is marketed under the Honda brand, and Acura doesn't exist...) and I'm looking to buy another one in Canada, B/C I really fell in love with this car
. Unfortunately I won't be able to buy it right at the start, because I will need money for all the stuff that is necessary when you arrive in a country... So I may buy a 99/00 stock civic SI or slightly modified...
I'm really impressed by the amount of parts and upgrades you have in North America for Hondas and Acuras and by their prices, which are really cheap compared to the European prices...
Congratulations for this great website, on which I hope I'll spend a lot of good times

Wow... it's not too often we have the pleasure of reading a first post made by a new user such as yourself. You can tell you have a good head on your shoulders and will make a valueable addition to the forum.
Any pics of your Type R that you had to sell back in France? Watch out for those Canucks
Welcome

Welcome
Thanx guys, people seem to be very funny and friendly in North America
. I think I m going to spend some nice times in here...
For the pics of the car here they are, hope u'll like it
:

It's an almost stock ITR (just a K&N filter in the original airbox) and I didn't have the
time to upgrade it, since I've decided to go to Canada, where life seems to be better than in France, especially for finding a good job

That was a great and super clean ITR with only around 40000 original miles, and I was in love with it
Anyway I hope it's just a matter of time to buy another one in America; The best for me would be a black or yellow ITR with front JDM conversion, 16" or 17"volk rims, Recaro or Bride Bucket seats and good N/A upgrades under the hood (as well as suspension and brakes of course...)You seem to have really great cars in there

I had to part with it b/c I am leaving France
Edit: I hope I'll get one, for sure
I think R's and especially ITR's are among the best ever made cars for who is looking for fun and sporty driving. In europe we are used to say "ITR, the real R", and many S2K owners and even 350Z owners called me for my ITR b/c people here like to go on circuits, and the ITR is well-known for its amazing handling, Thanks to the LSD... Personally I love the CTR and theS2K too, and I think all VTEC powered Hondas are great

I completely agree.

Welcome to the board! Don't worry us Canadians are good people. You will also be able to park and use your ITR as a daily in most cities here without it getting jacked unlike our southern neighbors. Where abouts in Canada will you be moving to? By the way you won't be able to get a black ITR over here in Canada unless you find one that has already been brought up from the states. We only had CW and PY.
go for PY with JDM front....soo nice
hope you will enjoy your staying in canada and take care of the time and buy a lot of candy to the R if you get one! its cheep in the "new world"
good luck and welcome

Yeah be sure to take advantage of that, our good UK friend Geoff (tartje) is always complaining about the prices and parts we have over here.

Welcome to Honda Tech
I hope to see some nice writeups from you in the future
p.s. I know how difficult moving to a new country can be. I experienced it myself when I moved from Poland over 10 years ago when I was 14
Anyways, I wish you good luck
and yes Canadians are good poeple

I hadn't noticed that I can post only 5 messages every 24 hours (that's very frustratingand I couldn't reply to your posts before
Is it because I am new on the forum?
). I haven't found yet how to cite posts, so I'll try to answer all the questions in this post.
Cdn01ITR : I was told that the best city for me to go to is Toronto, because I work in the Marketing field and it seems that it's easier to find a good job in Toronto than in other cities... In France the only color that was marketed for the ITR is CW. My Integra was MR because I bought it in Italy. PY looks great, as well as black, so that should be ok
Tricid :
Indeed PY with CF hood, JDM front, 17" Rims and lowered suspension looks amazing and there are some real beauties in this forum
ITR-cam :
Thank you for my English, but trust me it is far from being perfect
I still have difficulties with prepositions (don't always know which one to use
) and phrasal verbs
00TypeR1071 :
Yeah I think it is not that easy and I hope I will succeed moving to Canada, esp for the question of finding a job, but I've already experienced moving abroad since I spent my first 19 years in Morocco and came in France for my studies in 1999

Miles or Kilometers? Since everyone is giving you such an easy time, I'll give you a hard time.
