Too Much Oil?

Not sure which manual ur reading but the helms says 3.7L (3.9qts) if it's a complete engine overhaul, and 3.3L (3.5qts) for an oil change.
Are you filling it up for the first time or are you changing the oil?
1 L <> 1 qt.
With that said, it's supposed to take 3.5qts on an oil change, you put in 4 quarts, yeah, that's fine, your oil won't foam at that level.

Yeah sorry, I was just doing an oil change. Good to hear that 4 quarts is not too much.
I checked the dipstick and it is a like 1/8 of an inch higher than the high level on the stick.

Yeah, that's 100% fine.
