Replacing back right window in 2006 Civic Sedan?
Hopefully someone can help me with this.
A thug broke into my car the other night and busted out the back right window. I was told that a new window from Honda would cost $328, and that I should try and find a compatible window at a junkyard. Can I only take a window from the 2006 Civic Sedan, or are there other models that use the same windows?
Thanks

HAH. Did they really tell you to look through a JUNKYARD for a near BRAND NEW civic sedan window?? Good luck with that since the car is far from "junk" and your chances are slim unless someone else totalled their sedan.
You should probably have the dealer take car of it since $328 is cheaper than most insurance deductibles.

Sorry for offending you. Internet -- serious business

Check insurance. It should be far less. Through State Farm, it's $100 flat, if that. My passenger glass of my truck was free due to safety issues. being a back glass it may not fall under safety but comprehensive should be much much less than the 328
i just got my window replaced on Monday https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2132264 . i have insurance thru state farm and my deductible was $200 and thats all i have to pay. to get my window fixed without insurance would of been $372 and the piece of glass was straight from the dealership.. minus the word HONDA on it... but same brand, type and everything.. and since i payed my deductible im now gunna get my door paneled fixed/or replaced cause of glass damage and the paint chips on the outside of my door fixed basically for free (granite their is no such thing as free).. i would go thru insurance if i were you.. your rate SHOULDNT go up cause you arent at fault.. at least thats what i was told..

I actually found a junkyard with a recently wrecked 06 Civic about twenty minutes away from me. Got the window for $75.
Looks like they had the right idea.
