I posted yesterday and didn't get too many responses, so here it goes again. Yesterday at the store, my key wouldn't turn, after about 30 mins of turning the wheel, turning the key, pressing the brake (dont know why, just tried everything), adjusting the steering column, everything, it finally started up. I got home in my garage, and didn't even take the key out, turned it again, nothing. I tried tapping the key, using another key, a newer one, it started up again after a long time of constantly trying to turn the key. Both times there was no significant thing I done to start it, it just happened. Could this be a lock cylinder problem, and if so does the recent cooler weather have anything to do with this happening now. i have a 2000 Honda Civic Coupe and have had no problems like this before. Also if it is the lock cylinder, is that an expensive fix? I tried the car this morning, and it's still not moving. Please help!

 

So the key itself doesnt turn or the car doesnt turn on? Im kind of confused.
