Default Nasty Puddle and Car Won't Start

I hit a nasty puddle two nights ago driving someone home. The car drove home fine but didn't start the next morning when I needed to get to work.

As of last night my family helped push-start the car and it ran fine so it's looking like the starter.

Although the starter is recently new

All fuses are good as well as grounds. Any suggestions to help this out?

pull out all the spark plugs and turn it over to be certain it did not hydrolock even thought that does not sound like your problem

it's not the spark plugs because i did have the car running with the push start

the problem is that it is not cranking or clicking

well if you can push it and it starts, I'm going to guess that it's your starter

by the way, there is a little black wire that goes to your starter, check and see if that is still connected because it can come off

fixed it.

wasn't anything wrong

the car was a mechanical tranny swap and not electrical... so the "shifter" wasn't in park all the way hahaha
