By reading your post, your not ready to put together a homemade turbo. You will be better off getting a kit and having someone else install it. You should know that you dont need headers for your car and you will never need them for a turbo.

Injectors, fuel pump, "T" fittings, oil return fitting on the oil pan, oil lines, coolant lines, down pipe.

You won't need a wastegate.

Manifold, turbo, piping, BOV, Intercooler, fuel management, boost controller.

With all of these parts you should be good to go.

The pressure will be let out thru the BOV...I assume when people say wastegate they mean EXTERNAL...in which you don't need one.

You are really wrong The bov help out compressure surge when the throttle plate closes. It does nonething to control boost. Is you don't want a wastegate that external and have to worry about a dump tube. Get a turbo with a internal wastegate.

I never said a BOV controls boost. I said that you don't need to buy a wastegate, which refers to AWD Terror's "will need" list.

Don't listen to me, I don't know **** lol.

I guess I'm used to using DSM turbos for a DIY turbo kit like the 14b, T25, T28killer which have internal wastegates.

I guess you only have experience with internal wastegates? He will need a wastegate, whether it is an internal or external one.

Shut the **** up.

Internal Wastegate is still a wastegate. You need one to control boost.

So as soon as you hit your peak boost you are going to shift.... sounds like a good idea to me
