Default What kind of fuel do I need?

My sis just got a 2002 auto RSX, and was wondering what kind of gas does the car need? (Didn't come with an owner's manual) I said 91 octane which is what I have to use on my AP1 while others have said regular unleaded.... Any help? Thanks!

^ yeah that
87 (or regular) is fine

only the type-s, 06-07 si, and the s2k require premium

If you put 91 in your car, it may feel sluggish...

Regular for the base and Premium for the Type S. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Don Henley &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If you put 91 in your car, it may feel sluggish...</TD></TR></TABLE> You sure about that, I dont see how a higher grade of gas will make your car run sluggish.

a higher grade wont make it run sluggish, but you wont notice any difference. the base was tuned to run off 87, while the type S was tuned to run of 91. putting 91 in a base would have the same effect as putting 100 in a type S = NOTHING. unless you were tuned for it of course.

our dc5-s dont take higher octane because our motors are better, octane levels are chosen based on which is most efficient for the motor.

BETTER = not having to use High octane? LOL!

so that means the E-85 engines are the best!
...or is it the hybrid?
...or natural gas?

i want to know for sure, because i want the BEST engine!

Octane is chosen by the compression... higher the compression the higher the octane required.

All higher octane fuels means is that it has a higher knocking resistance.... On a motor that requires high octane, low octane might cause earlier detonation.
