timing question, rear balancer shaft...
ok, so i put the long bolt in there to hold the rear shaft still while i put the belt on... but, i found that the bolt went in there more than 1 way...
sooo... i looked at the shaft, and noticed these 2 markings on it.. 1 was a circle on the actual gear, and the other was a triangle notch on the plate behind the gear... with the bolt in, does it matter which one of these is where??

sorry for the blurry pix, for some reason my camera wont focus well up close.

resurrecting this thread because i am in the middle of the same thing with my daily driver. someone answer
I believe that Mr Hondadude posted a picture, not long ago, showing the dot on the rear pulley lines up with a casting boss at about the 5 'O' clock position.
It looks like in the picture that the oil pump seal is leaking.
It is a very thin seal and gets hardened and shrinks from repeated heat/cool cycles.
