is it okay turboing 100kmiles on gsr?
i was wondering if its okay turboing my gsr and its over 100,000 miles on it? it probably won't last huh? i was thinking if i can run around 9lbs? is it safe?
the lbs of boost dont matter, its the whp you should watch, stay under 300whp on a stock gsr if you want your car to last for awhile, unless you have a extra block laying around then go for it. IMO, 10psi be good on a stock gsr since the stock map sensor is good up to 10psi.
You can turbo a motor with 500,000 miles...it just depends on the health of the motor. If the compression numbers are there, and the motor runs well, then sure boost away.
Like dude said, psi has nothing to do with it. 9psi from a 14b and 9psi from a GT40 are two very different things.

There is nothing wrong with it. I boosted a stock GSR a few years back and it put down 397whp. I drove the car 120 miles a day and beat on it every weekend. HAHA
Just make sure that whoever tunes it knows what they are doing and also make sure you tune it with good a EMS.

YES! if done right and tuned it will be fine.
