largest shot of nitrous on a BUILT h22a?
crower stage 2 turbo cams, crower dual valve springs, je 9.0:1 pistons, crower rods, eagle sleeves.. i want to hear some guesses of what everyone thinks the biggest shot of nitrous it could handle without instantly destroying itself.. i'm thinking 200 shot personally
Uh, no. Well, maybe, but probably not. 200shots on an H22 is a bit much, but if you can pull it off, you will run 11's. Drop some weight, tune it to perfection, you might even be able to break into 10's. The most nitrous I have heard of ran on a Prelude was a 97 Lude, its in the new issue of Honda Tuning, and he runs 150 shots, 12.6 in the 1/4. His ride it tight as hell, I hope to do a similar thing with my ride, engine wise atleast. I personally think that if you can beat a muscle car, like a TA or Z28 in the 1/4, you have one hell of a setup. If you can beat Vipers and Vetts, your a sport compact legend. Good luck, if you do alot of work, 12's will be in your future for sure.
the engines an h22a.. the car's a civic ferio SiR.. next season i'll have a t04b turbo on it.. going with a payne (sp) block with the lude head and a b series tranny.. prolly ls.. but i'm just wondering how fast i can get an all nitrous lude motor to go.. i really don't care about blowing up the engine if it runs 10's a few times

I'd bet that it could take a 200 shot, since stock B18Cs can take the accasional 150 shot. That 9:1 cr is going to be a bitch to drive on though.

I thought after 65 hit of juice you would have to upgrade it to a wet system? Or at least injectors, fpr,af guages and such..Thats wicked..if thats true I will get a bigger pill and pop it in my ride to give it 80 or so...
If I was gonna run a big shot on a 2.2 I would want forged pistons, and that means the block needs to be resleeved which is alot of cash. Since the motor is going in a hatchback a good allmotor setup would be more than enough for me but a 200 shot is always fun

hachi, not yet.. end of this year a block will come out that fits either an h series head or a k series head.. and a b series tranny.. and it will use h series internals... i'm using a Nitrous Express directport wet system.. a single fogger dry would blow your engine to pieces.. a single WET fogger can do 75.. which i've done on my cl.. anything more you would need a direct port
had a friend with 120 DP..... also had fuel pump, adjustable FPR, sufficient ignition retard on stock internals.... ran for 3 years as a daily driver with no problems
100 shots is safe on stock internals, as long as its setup correctly. Gonna need a progressive controller, ignition, colder plugs, and 100 octane fuel would be great to. The internals tend to be ok with high cylinder pressure, as long as it doesnt come all at once, via detonation.
I have a similar plan like yours. Just build a bulletproof block and gradually add nitrous till you're happy. I think 200 is doable with the right timing.
what kind of fuel upgrades are you planning on going with? It sounds by like everything you listed so far you are going in the right direction as to having an engine strong enough to with hold that much NOS. But i agree with todd, treat it like a race car, and it'll act like a race car.
