Default toyota resistor box-- is it do-able?

Alright, I recently got a used Toyota fuel injector resistor box out of an older supra from a friend. I need some information about how they work in general.
I’m familiar with wiring it up but I’m not sure if this particular set-up will work because the Toyota box only have four wires coming out of the unit instead of five. In Toyota’s case, three matching colored wires (white) are split into the injectors and one(red) is routed to the ecu. That means three white colored wires are routed to six injectors. That’s ONE white colored wire for two injectors. For Honda’s, they have a wire for each injector.
I was wondering if I would be able to get away with only using three wires out of the four. My plan was to use two white for the four injectors and a red for the ecu.
Another way to put it is.. If one white wire on a Honda resistor box was damaged or cut too short and could not used, would it be okay to slice it from another white wire? Therefore using one white wire for two injectors. .

Let me know what you guys think.
If you know how a resistor box works internally, please shine some knowledge!
