Default What are the battery "terminal codes"?

What are the code letters (like F or H) that manufacturers apply to batteries based upon the type of terminals the battery has -- as top post, side mount, stud, etc.

I am shopping for a new battery for my 1992 Accord, so please help me out.

no matter where you go to get a battery that should have a guide based on the brand of battery

No, the codes I am referring to are "universal" in the US or the same for all batteries.
