I just arrived home (it`s now 2,30 AM) from a car meet with street racings..(I am just wachting, NOT racing. Evertime)..
There hade been 20-30 american guys with several cars (Talon, Camaro, Mustang...)..
As they saw me arriving one of them came to my R and asked me "Is this a Type R ??) I said sure, we have no other kind of Integras in Germany...
This guy almost fell to his knees.."Damn..this is my ******... dream car ! Guys, come over here.. this is a real Type R!!"
And a few seconds later I was within a group of GI`s wo looked at me as if I were god himself.... and all hell was breaking loose as they spotted the Mugen-shiftknob.
Btw, nice tool.. It seems it was MADE to fit into my hand..
Now I know why you US-ITR drivers sometimes get tired of owning an R.
You guys must be crazy.. The streetracing began (1/4mile) and 90% of all the racers were american... But your cars are too heavy.. most of them got smoked when they raced against an Opel or Golf VR6. Anyway...The boys risked car and life just to maqke the people stare.. We were standing on a bridge over a restricted roadand watched the party...
Crazy, absolutely crazy.... Our cars seem to be faster, but our drivers seem to use their brain more often...
Is that normal in the US ????? Or do your people only behave like this when they are far away from home

well....i don't know about other places in USA, but in CA...a lot type Rs here....so i don't think ppl would be crazy like that even if they see one...
hahaha...
Must be nice to have the ITR as the only an Integra model. Man, what a dream that must be. I always wondered what it would be like if the ITR was not limited production...probably end up being like the GSR, people wouldn't look at it twice.
I bet those GI's have a little more respect for foreign cars now. I've given countless rides to hicks and rednecks...after a little stroll they come back with respect for Honda's.
One of my co-workers said it best, "I hate foreign cars, but I don't hate this <pointing at my ITR>."

Where were you? I would have loved to have been there. Imagine 2 ITR's hehe. Was this in Darmstadt somewhere?

I, my gf and lots of mates had been there friday and saturday night. The quartermile races happened until 4 o clock AM, then one of the guys who joined us, wanted to race a Camaro F1 with his M3.... I mean a real race, not a quartermile... So we went to the Toom-Market in Weiterstadt. From that parking lot we could see the whole schnellstrasse...... The Camaro-driver smoked the M3 and told everybody that M3-drivers got tiny *****.....
Man, I hope you`re not a cop....
But if you like to race.... well, there`re a few Golf VR6 or Neons you might beat... some BMW too... But most of the cars are simply too strong for an R.

If you see a black ITR with OF-SB-103 license plate, that's me.
Maijk,
Sounds cool
We have no USA-cars driving at the races. Cops are doing alot since a couple of weeks, to prevent this races all over the country. Normally, the harbours of Rotterdam were a good spot. Unfortunately, those guys are now being chased by the police, which results in fatal accidents..
I still wonder why they don't let them use the Rotterdam Airport in the evening. It's closed in the evening anyway.
Anyway, time to go to Germany in the weekends

They have plenty time to catch street racers but no time to catch thieves!!
BTW I don't streetrace but I like to watch...

@Faust:
I don`t go to Hanauer anymore... Rice rice rice...cops cops cops....
If you see another black one there, that`s me. It`s the only one around.
But just to say it again... If you like to race....
1) race just for fun... most of the cars are boosted to 250+hp or lots of M3
2) You risk to get in trouble with the cops
They can`t do anything to the people who stand just there and look, having a few beers .... but they are mad about the street racer....
So I`m just watching.. And when the cops arrive I`m polite and smile...
@ DutchITR
I don`t know ANYthing about the ring.. Just that we meet there. Who cares if `we`d have to pay some money... YOU have to oay for sure, because you are no member of the Inter. Type R club.
Anyway, I don`t think I run the ring often because I still have my knock problem..

@Maijk ITR1858: So you live around Darmstadt? Are you in Heusenstamm sometimes? Let's meet next weekend, so there are a few more TypeR's, the americans can stare at...

But MAYBE I can not come next weekend because I have to care for my little boy.
I can only go out at night every second weekend...
Chris, you have a cw one, right ? Have you been at the Total-gas station in Moerfelden last morning at 5 o`clock ?
