I have what i think to be a 92 sir B16 transmission inwhich the 5th gear assemble needs to be replaced due to improper assembly by a trans shop. They are trying to fix it under warranty but they cant seem to order the right parts for it. I have told them 94 del sol vtec and 99 SI would be the same transmission, but being as my tranny doesnt have the sticker or plate on it he keeps ordering the wrong parts... now i know this seems like an easy task which i thought it would be but the shop has had my car for 2+ months now and all i want is to get it back.

My question is i guess are all the b16 hydro trany 5th gear sycncros and assemblys interchangeable... this guy keeps saying either the shaft size is wrong or the gear size is wrong or the syncro size is wrong. im getting real pissed off with them and just want my car back.

Again my question is does anyone have expierence with this. B16 trans from 92ish b16 from japan what US parts can be ordered from Honda that WILL fit. I seriously didnt think it would be this hard, this guy must be retarded but i just want to give him a 100 percent chance at not messing up ordering parts. please help.

bump can anyone tell me if 99SI parts will work in a jdm b16 no lsd trans?
