Anyone ever wish Type R's...
Hell yeah....bore/ stoke it above two liters and make it mid engine. It worked in the lotus so there has to be at least some of the needed hardware.

Should make this (or a new thread) regarding things that we wish the ITR's had or dosn't have.
For me i wish the ITR was rear wheel driven.. number 1, secondly a 6 speed gear box (for the DC2) and the characteristic of an engine that could'nt allow it to be put into Civic's.

I wish it had a 6th gear, really really bad.
I also wish the engine didnt fit into Civics...but then it wouldn't cost what it does.
RWD would make it a different car and not as impressive. One reason why it's so remarkable is that it's a FWD car that doesn't drive like one.

Since we're fantasizing how about the Lotus Elise were really the "Integra Type R"? 1900 lbs and 185 bhp but with a six speed trans. I would prefer the car to be a coupe as well as I'm not really into convertibles and the car could be a bit lighter as well...
Which brings up another little item... WHY would Honda have passed up the opportunity to purchase Lotus in the first place??!!
