I am looking at replaceing my GSR tranny with a JDM Y21 tranny that came out of a EG9 (4 door SIR) in japan. I was wondering, is this the same (gear ratios) tranny found in our civic SI (SIR here in Canada)?

Also, this shop told me originally, the tranny came with a factory LSD that is clutch type and he has since replaced the LSD with a ITR one. (torsion type) Is this also true? Did they came with clutch type LSD from the factory?? Thanks.

yes the gears are the same as SiR and Del Sol VTEC
original LSD was helical/torsen, same as ITR

clutch LSD never came on civics or integras, only other LSD was viscous which was found on Y1 tranny and 90-3 ZC/ZXi trannys
