Default Radiator hose

i just bought a koyo radiator, and i also want to buy new hoses. what is better silicon(samco) or renforced hoses(gates)

I know alot of people run the SAMCOs....I will be switching over next year with new clamps.

Samco hoses with T-bolt clamps

Strangely enough though, the OBX silicone rad hoses aren't bad once you trim them to fit.

x2 on that. We used them on my friends Turbo Prelude. If they didn't say OBX you'd think they were SAMCOs. IIRC they fit right on the Prelude.

I had the caps stuck... other than the name brand, material wise... people tell me renforced is better, and i have other peeps tell me the silicone is better. so???

I've had my samco's on for about 6months now and they've held up very nicely verrrry expensive though

Most of the silicone hoses are reinforced...I know my OBX hoses have fibers going all through them.

i got obx on my koyo and i didnt have to trim that fit nice and cheaper than the others

Now that I think about it I bet I only had to trim the OBX hoses because I have an H23 and the H22 has a different thermo housing....they are probably made for an H22.
