noncivic owner- dizzy question
my roomate recently bought a 97 ex w/ a 1.6 sohc vtec. we've been toying with it in my garage lately (when we aren't working on my s2k) and i told him he should replace the distributor cap and rotor because when i did that on my old prelude it regained a lot of feel and power that it had lost over time. at the time that i replaced mine i bought it CHEAP from a webpage that no longer seems to sell parts anymore.
question: where is the cheapest place to buy cap n rotor for civic and does he have to get one for the 1.6 d-series or will one from a different motor b the same, or would another add any benefit?
-at the same time he is looking for a set of used rotas, anyone got some nice 16's for sale?
thanks civic guys

wow, thanks for the quick response. and yeah, i never even considered autozone, etc, because i usually go oem on something like this. but we'll have to go there and check them out and get a quote from honda.
MSD ftw. the caps like $35 from summit or where ever. if you want a significant gain get an MSD external ignition coil. i replaced mine and it was a big difference. honda's have notoriously weak ignition systems.

While I agree to a point (I also have the MSD external coil setup)...
There are full drag cars running WAY more HP then I ever will that are on stock coils and obviously running fine.
