Default B16A2 VS B16A2,VTEC PULLING LESS.

Hi,i've a b16a2(92-95) running with a converting(A/T into M/T) jdm p30 ecu,obd1.Yesterday i raced against a b16a2(92-95) but running with obd2 wiring, usdm p2t ecu.I've a civic ek3 4dr and the boy drives a civic eg6 2dr.He overtook me on vtec engagement.I drove his eg,the vtec pulls much more harder than mine. And i'm very curious why my vtec does not pull the same?I agree that his car body is less weighted. But not to that extent of power?

You're comparing two different engines in two different cars and wonder why they're not the same?

Your car is heavier. Autos have a different cam profile, right? Go get some stock GSR cams (somebody you know probably has them) and take your back seat out if you must.

lol. There is no such thing as vtec fluid. That guy was playing around with you. But the other guy that was talking about cams doesnt know his left from his right. The difference between and auto and a manuel is the transmission. The motor is the same. And he said that your friend has GSR cams, idk if he took a look around lately, but they're not that easy to find and when you do find some, theres a hefty price tag.

What did i just say? I just said that the ONLY difference between a manuel and a automatic is the TRANSMISSION. The motor is the same.

Idk, all motors are different, even if they are the same model. There are all kinds of different variables on why it is faster, broken in better,up to date on oil changes/maintnence ect... Are you sure that there are no modifications done to his car? And a p2t ecu comes out a 96-00 civic EX with a d16y8.

O and weight also plays a factor in who won. Your four door weighs a lot more than his 2dr. Dont believe that since you have the same motor as him that your going to beat him. I dont know exactly what the weight difference is, but i could guess that its close to 400/600lbs.

u r wrong, only b16 96-99 which uses p2t.But the eg has a 2nd gen b16 which should be used a p30 ecu.but his engine runs with a p2t ecu, that is obd2.do you think using a different wiring and ecu has an effect on power?

This is the core of the advantage on those who have lighter cars.I totally agree with you.Suppose i move on a buddy club camshafts spec4 package,do you think this will help me out to win a such race?

no im not, i have a 99 civic EX with the p2t ecu. i have a d16y8. instead of calling me a liar. why dont you use your search button at the top of the page? you obvisously dont know what the expletive your talking about because if you did i wouldnt be reading this thread. The ecus that are made for the b16, are pr3,p30,pct,and the pw0. Dont ever question what i know when you know nothing.

p2t ecu also is included.Anyway i'm suffering from headache just because the eg's vtec pulls much more harder than my vtec.Do you think a converted p30 ecu will deliver the same power comparing a stock m/t p30 ecu?

well the best way to make your vtec pull harder is to the tap the switch under the seat 3 times and buy the jdm powerband that goes in the engine bay

No the p2t is not included. It is the ECU for a d16y8, not a b16. If you want to aurgue about, then prove to me that the p2t is for a b16. Auto's are slower in acceration than m/t's are anyway.
