Best way to level car height..One side is always higher than the other
What is the proper measurement points to measure ride height? I have been measuring from the center cap to the top of the fender and it seems one side is always higher or lower than the other..
Thanks in advance

i never really liked to measure from the fenders because its not really accurate. user error. and sometimes the fenders are not always the same on each side epecially after you rolled the fenders.
measure from the jacking points on the car.

it certainly isnt level after years or even decades of driving.
i use top of the fender liner to measure. shrug.

Measuring from wheel to center to top of wheel-well arch should be the best way if you want the amount of tire-to-fender gap to be even all the way around. Even with differences from rolled fenders, it shouldn't be off by more than 1/8" or so. If you measure from wheel center, that will be a constant measurement no matter what tire size is on there.
I personally just measure from ground to top of fender arch, since all 4 of my tires are the same size.
If you measure from ground to jacking points, that will make the body of the car level with the ground, but the tire gap may or may not be the same front to rear.

Well I finally found some level ground (harder acomplishment than one would think) I checked all my tire pressure and it's equal. My measurements were all equal 20" from center of wheel to top fender on all 4 corners..yet still the damn left side sits higher aaarrrgh this drives me nutz

Bent frame is not a possibility, I know all the history of the car since new. Do you think corner balancing would be the answer? Maybe the lude has some cooky type of weight distribution

proper corner balancing by adjusting coilover spring heights does not acheive equal ride heights. thats NOT the point of corner ballancing, and thats NOT what you would get. you would get very uneven ride heights if you actually did a corner balancing.
seriously. just live with it. everyones car is like this. you need adjustable spring kits like ground controls to have any control over ride heights.
