Default Kteller Header on All motor build?

Anybody use this header on a built h22? I have been having alot of problems out of my exhaust. I am assuming when vtec ingages the megan collector to the 2.5" is bottle necking so bad that I am loosing power. And it is a big difference.
Thanks for any input

I believe the Kteller header is simply the megan header, being both have identical part numbers

I am debating on whether or not to put this quote in my sig so that everyone can enjoy the laugh that i just enjoyed....allow me to point out why:

A) vtec engages (not ingages), and has nothing to do with a collector in a header.

B) 2.5" is a large collector, so it does the opposite of bottle necking the exhaust, if anything it may be too big for your particular setup to allow any low-end torque. Up top it will help provide more power, depending on the exhaust you are using.

C) I have a Megan header, and if i remember correctly it doesn't have a 2.5" collector....it's a direct bolt on to the stock exhaust.

D) You may be losing (not loosing) power, but it's not due to a bottle neck, I think more than anything it's due to the bottle neck that's holding the steering wheel.

Put your name on the list of people that would want a Vibrant ver2.5
why are you using a $100 header on a built H22? What is your IDEA of built?
Have you been on a dyno? If not...... /closed

The collector is not 2.5 it is the stock diameter. I guess no bigger than 2". My exhaust is 2.5"

mods are.
-H22 block sleeved and built by Golden Eagle
11.5:1 JE pistons, Eagle rods
-Head ported polished and built by Portflow Design
REV valves, Ti retainers, dual valve springs, Skunk2 stage 2 cams, Skunk2 IM
255lph (HP) fuel pump, RC 550cc injectors, STR fuel rail, B&M fuel pressure regulator, GReddy timing and balancer belts, H23 timing belt tensioner conversion, megan racing header, 2.5" custom exhaust with cat deleted back to Apexi N1 muffler, ARP head studs, Cometic head gasket, P28 Hondata S300, Stage 4 CM, Fidanza Flywheel,

And I have had it tuned and dynoed twice. First time was with the dc header with an exhaust leak out of the flex pipe and the stock intake manifold with the secondaries staying closed(did not know at the time) it made 190hp at 7000rpm and would not make anymore past 7000, so then I got a skunk 2 IM and megan racing header because the dc was trashed and it made 137hp. So I ended up cutting my downpipe right before it met the exhaust and it seemed to have opened it up and run better. So my question is should I get that kteller with the 2.5" collector or do a collector mod on my megan header? And thanks again.

And yeah I know I cant spell...

you've got a much bigger problem than the header choking your airflow if your hp #'s went from 190 to 137. i could see 190 to 187, but not 137. seeing as you have all of that done to your car, i think that getting a header with a 2.5" collector might not be a bad idea....you will definitely make more power, at the loss of a little low-end torque, but you should definitely feel a power difference.-- but figure out what the BIG problem is before worrying about the header decreasing your power by 53 hp.

Yeah I hope not. The only reason I think it is the header is the day before I got the meagan racing header put on it ran perfect and then as soon as I got the header on I left the shop and it ran like crap and vtec would not engage. I cut the down pipe right before it meets the exhaust and it started to run better and vtec engages, so I dont know what it is and did not even know that exhaust could make that big of difference... But thanks

If the Header on Kteller is really the megan racing one, it has a 2 inch collector. I have 2 and have measured them twice.

So I would probably just be better off doing the collector mod on my meagan header then. I guess I will just start asking around here to find somewhere that can do it.
