swapping a B18b into my 93 civic
- am i gonna have legal trouble if i get pulled over and a cop tells me to pop my hood?

if the cop doesnt got a clue youll be fine...just dont be smart with him and he may not ask you to pop your hood

and yes when swapping motors its not legal until you get it bar'd. to do that you need a engine your year or newer, have all original equipment, and pass smog.

just search for getting your car BAR'd here on h-t

 

I really dont think it is too likely that they will want to check your motor or even know what it is if they see it.

 

they cant ask you to pop your hood unless they have reasonable cause, they can with your consent, but you can say no. you have every right to say no.. i doubt any cops would think you have an illegal engine.

BUT it wont pass inspection unless your car is obd1 and the LS has the exact emissions that your car does stock :'(

as long as your driving a honda made car and the head still says honda on it... they wont know.. unless it says mitsubishi or some ****
