fuel tank pressure sensor
Im getting a Code 91(fuel tank pressure sensor) in my 1996 hatchback. Info on the car Ls/V obd2a engine harness with obd2a vtec ECU. I live in NY so i cant change to a different OBD or i wont pass emissions. My question is can i
1. swap in a coupe gas tank with the fuel tank pressure sensor already in it? will a coupe gas tank even bolt up to a hatchback? or
2. Can i buy the Sensor and Some how mount it on the gas tank and run the wires myself? if so where would be the best place to put it? what is the stock location of the fuel tank pressure sensor on cars that come equipped with them?
Thanks

Ok so from that website it says:
"Change the gas tank This is the next best possible solution for alleviation of code 91. Swap out your gas tank for one respective your vehicle type, that has an FTP sensor. Such as running a 99 Si coupe fuel tank on a 97 civic CX or DX. You will more than likley have to wire in the FTP sensor along with adding the FTP equipped gas tank too."
Does this mean that coupe and Hatchback Gas tanks are the same size and will bolt up. Because i dont want to assume they would based off that statement. and No hatchback gas tanks have the FTP in them.
what about the second option i stated above? is that even possible?
thanks

I've had the same problem with my car ,97cx with mini-me, I found that if you run the ecu from an integra gsr it does not use the fuel tank pressure sensor. I've been running one for about 2 years in NC without any problems.
