Default Del Sol Susp Question

does integra, or SiR suspension fit in a del sol? my buddy has one that hit a curb hard and he has parts for SiR and integra. Or do we need to put in del sol parts only??

Any 94-01 Integra or 92-95 Civic

If he has a 99-00 SiR, the struts and springs will fit in the front, but you'll need to shave the bushing on the LCA in the rear to get the rear struts and springs on.

From what I remember the 94-01 Integra knuckles (suspension piece in the front that runs between the lower control arm & upper control arm) are slightly larger than the Del Sol knuckles, but they will fit. I might be misremembering though - they might just be beefier pieces.

If the Sol had ABS, you need to source replacement parts from an ABS-equipped vehicle (unless he doesn't care if ABS still works). That'd be front knuckles & hubs, and... um... I forget in the rear, since I haven't had to futz with my rear ABS yet... looks like lower control arm and hub from the Helm. Hubs are the important part since you need the pulser gear and mount for the sensor, since in theory you could just zip-tie the sensor cable to the other pieces.

As for springs, shocks, LCA, UCA, etc - what BlueIntegraBoy says goes... Integra Type R has a different rear shock arrangement, but even that will fit if you move to their rear LCA.

For SiR struts, see my post above. You can't use the SiR LCAs (EM1).

I'm confused. What parts does your friend have? Your references to what model parts your friend has aren't exact.

Type R = Integra Type R?

SiR = 99-00 Civic SiR?

ITR parts are interchangeable, including the LCAs, though the rear shock/LCA arrangement is different. I think the crossmember and steering rack would fit. Hmm. Where did that sticky go...

99-00 SiR is what BlueIntegraBoy is discussing. But Honda Canada has used SiR on other models.
