how terrible is non-synthetic oil?
I have always heard that synthetics are better for turbo cars because the oil is more resistant to gunking up/cooking in turbos' bearings. Thats why I use synthetic oil
i've heard that it's actually better to use non synthetic on turbo motors. I heard that the synthetic thins out while our motors need it to stay a little thicker for the protection. I just use 5W30 castrol GTX and not having a problem. Hey if John Force uses it, so can I.
I've put around 40,000 miles on my two turbocharged Honda's. I only use regular old Castrol GTX non synthetic. Change it every 3000-3500 miles. Never had a problem at all, never burned a drop etc...

personally, i use 10w-30 castrol gtx.
I read about a CBR900RR that had 100,000 miles put on it, and all they did was change the oil every 3000 miles (Castrol GTX). Made me switch too.
Well Maybee I should switch. I am could save a bit of $$ using conventional oil. I just always though that synthetic had a better abiltity to not break down at higher tempes then conventional.

If you change your oil every 3K then thermal breakdown should not be an issue with a good quality motor oil...
