Default Eletrical problems

i just bought a 91 Si for the shell.. it was running but my friend i bought it off of fucked some **** up when he was ******* with the car .. so now it has a huge eletrical problem and i know to get that stuff done at a shop would be BIG $$$$ so im not sure if i should just rewire the whole car cause the wires look pretty bad but i have no clue what im doing is there anyone out there in honda-tech land thats knows eletrical that can help me or a thred?? any help at all is appreciated thanks

im not exactly sure but every time i put my foot on the break there is a cclicking noise and all the lights on the guage cluster turn on check engine,oil, every thing

So its really not needed to rewire the whole car. I need to know if he removed a cluster and replaced it when he sold it. When you say he messed with it, What exactly did he do to the car?

he didn replace no cluster we did replace the alnator tho but the car was just siting in front of his house for the logest time cause it needed a new altanator so then e and my bf just went and put a new one in charged the batery and it was running then the next day my friend was driving it and it just died on him didnt start..

Check the alternator fuse! Make sure it didn't pop. Maybe the power wire is not tight or not on. Also make sure the big clip is clipped in.

Well then check your break switch and the wiring. Maybe something is crossed underneath

I know this sounds crazy, but try the ground that goes the motor to chassis and the ground that goes to the thermostat housing. It can cause the car to do some crazy things....
