Default Gas pedal

Is there a way to adjust the pressure needed to push ur pedal down? My pedal in my 99lx civic is somewhat hard to push when comeing from a dead stop. You have to push it hard and finally it goes down but theres so much force that i make my car jerk and that is no good. It is automatic too.

could also be your throttle body sticking, happened to me but I didn't have to apply a lot of pressure to get it unstuck. First try adjusting the cable, then try cleaning the throttle body out if the adjusting doesn't work
