1995 Acura Integra Sometimes Starts.
n00b here, please give me some insight so I can fix my car....
The issue I am having is when I go to start the car sometimes it does not start. All it does is click, it doesn't even turn over. When I try again I usually release the clutch and push it harder and most of the time it will start right up. There have been a few times that it takes 2-4 times to finally start. Someone had told me that in my type of car that there is a sensor for it to start.
Someone said neutral safety switch, but manual cars don't have them unless I am missing something. I also heard about a clutch switch?

It could be the starter. Depends on where the click is coming from. There is a clutch switch, but you wouldn't even hear a click if it was not engaged.
You can take a jumper cable and tap the starter positive to check if it's working. (MAKE SURE THE CAR IS NOT IN GEAR)
Also check the grounds on the starter/transmission.

thanks man, you saved me a bunch of messing around. No need to check that switch if that is not the culprit. I am going to clean the terminal posts tonight, and the negative ground strap on the engine. I'll check the starter out this weekend.
I Got the same problem to...sometimes it so bad i rather just push start then f#ck with it haha..i think its the starter..my pops was tellin me to take to get rebuilt...its cheaper
Hey guys it was the starter. The solenoids were going out from what my mechanic friend told me. Starts up every time no problem now.
