Default COmpression test need a little help

Hey I need to do a compression test and its my first time, do i need a remote started, because thats what i read in my book, and should i change the spark plugs while i am doing it or will it mess up my distribution, thanks for the help

all you do is screw the compression tester (almost like a tire pressure tester) in, and go turn the car over for a second. You can change the plugs at this time if you want, as your going to have one at a time out anyway, just make sure you put the plug wire back to the right cylinder, that is the only thing that can mess up your timing
