Default Faded Paint

Ok so I am buying a 2000 gsr on saturday and the red paint is somewhat faded. I was wondering what could be used to get rid of it.
Thanks

You can't bring back color it's just science lol. You can make it shiney/glossy by using a clay bar or a lot of wax

Thats the thing I don't like about red colors... especially Malino Red, they seem to turn to pink overtime (fade or excess poor car washing). The paint will never come back. The only thing you can do is wax/buff/claybar the remaining paint or get a new paintjob.

It doesn't matter what colour it is. If the paint is actually faded, there is no way to restore it other than repainting. As others have mentioned, you can often make it shine with some polishing and waxing, but you can't bring back the colour.

Yeah I have a red gsr too and its the same way... I've waxed it a couple of times and got some oxidation off and some shine back but thats about it. Nothing you can do except paint it to get the color back

Turtle Wax makes a red wax. I used it on my cobra but it wasn't faded. You could try that, just make sure to use gloves unless you want red hands for a few days.

Wax wont help you too much. To try to make it look better, need to polish, then wax or seal. I have had good luck with meguars and poorboys products. Poorboys SSR polishes along with a buffer may be able to bring some life back to the paint.

Before spending $1000+ to paint your car, take it to a detailer and spend $150 to get the paint polished out to see if it looks better. You could probably get a buffer, pads and polishes for that price too and try it yourself and you would always have the buffer and accessories for future detailing.
