Default increase hp

hey, sorry if im posting something from previous posts, but im new here.

just upgraded from a '02 Hyundai sonata to a 4 cyl. '05 Honda civic EX automatic, with Vtec. hp is advertised at 129, but i haven't had it tested my self.

i'm looking as my options of increasing the hp, and overall performance with out making it sound like a moped.

i've listed some thing with links below, if you guys could give them an eye and let me know if im either missing anything, or if these parts suck, or if im tuning my car into a noise machine (the quieter the better...gentle hum while idling would be great...) i'd appreciate it.

i was looking at adding new stainless steal header : (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA...QQcmdZViewItem)
a stainless steel downpipe :

a new exhaust :

and a new cold air intake :

thanks in advance.

1. Bolt ons such as intake, header and exhaust will produce minimal HP gains and aren't worth your money.

2. K-Swap, turbo, or nitrous are your only options for power.

3. Search.

Default Re: (AcuraFanatic)

Addition to what AcuraFanatic said, do NOT buy performance parts off ebay.
You get what you pay for. Trust me, you live and learn.
The bolts ons will not help, but only make worst because the low power these engines need all the back pressure they can get so strapping on high flow exhaust really will hurt more then help.

If your looking to modify but not willing to drop about 10K in a K swap or whatever its costing these guys, just do suspension and brake upgrades, easy to do and makes for a fun driver.
