Default Everyone loves an EF!!!

UPDATE PAGE 2...

Well my body work is in the process. I do it for a living so if you have any question just ask. It might come along kind of slow considering I also have a bunch of other side jobs. Dont ask how much the materials cost (im borrowing them from work haha). Im doing this all in my garage. Everything will be coming off the car to spray (moldings, glass etc.)

11/06 Wheel wells are 80% welded up. (only have one pic from phone cam)

10/24...small update

I bought a plasma cutter. Cut out ALL the rust on the right side. started making inner patch panels from a SAAB door skin. Ran out of batterys and cant find charger for cam.

This is before I cut it with plasma cutter

Here is the door skin i will be using for patches. I have several more i work

I figure I would post this here also, Im sure many of you will respect this.

So far I bought a brand new oem si bumper, lip ALL new body side moldings and rear bumper.

this pic is from moooonths ago like october

At this point I wont be replacing the entire quarters as it seems it not that bad. But i can still answer any question that you need...

Here is the aftermath after cutting out SOME of the rust. I will be remaking the pinchweld along with innerwheel house and rocker....Other than the previous repair just using filler and screen mesh there doesnt seem to be any more filler on the car which makes me very happy. I wont be putting full 1/4s on anymore now that i know it will be a easy repair.

These are just rough cuts, I just wanted to get a look at the inner panels.

No filler other than covering up rust which is awesome

He is the underside of the rocker/ pinch weld. I obviously will cut out all the rust, fixing the pinchweld will be most difficult, not saying much though

And for those who care...

I take it your talking about the pinchwelds.

Basicly what i will do is make 2 L-shaped pieces of metal and plug weld them together. It will somewhat be like stock. Kind of hard to explain.

I remember seeing pics of your teg after you painted it and then you had to paint it again after vandals got to it or something.

I can't wait to see what you do with this one. I just scrapped a hatch just like that but it was rusted to ****. Good luck

I'd like to see what u mean if u could take a few pics, mine are the same way, except my rear jack points crunched and noew its just a jumbled mess of rust.
are you gonna be able to use those jack points ever again?

and no, im pretty sure the pinch welds for the rockers are seperate from the lower inner panel which has the jacking reinforcements

At the moment i cant take pics because my cam charger is mia.

Anyways, im not sure what your talking about with the jack point, i jack it up at the pinch weld. But either way everything will be just as strong/stronger than oem.
