i picked up a set of OEM splash guards for my 99 Prelude. I was test fitting them and realized they are gonna be a couple of inches from the ground.. im lowered on eibach pros with koni yellows. its only 1.2 inches in the front and the rear looks like it might not be a problem. i know the splash guards are def gonna scrap the ground at highway speeds and bumpy roads. should i even both mounting these?

You mean the mud guards behind each wheel?
I have them on my car, I just chopped 2-3 inches off the front ones to ensure they wouldn't scrape. It still helps to keep the sides of the car somewhat clean, though.

I still have them on my car as well. They are just over an inch off the ground too. However, i just let them scrape. They are a little worn on the very bottom, but because they are made out of pretty tough plastic its not an issue.
I think cut ones look kinda goofy.

Well I like to have the mud guards on the car, but I couldn't stand the sound of them scraping. Therefore I chopped them off. It looks a little odd compared to normal ones, but they still serve their purpose.

Ya scraping can be nerveracking, but when it's sitting still they seem like they are at an ok height. My suspension is pretty tight f/r set on 4...
I just hate that slow scraping of driving up a ramp etc or something really steep

yeah the plastic scraping noise doesn't really bother me, the way they look right above the ground is more important than the slight annoyance, to me at least. And slowly but surely they are leveling themselves off.

Not a Prelude, but I have the OEM mud flaps on my 2000 Civic with a 2 inch drop all around. The bottom of the mud flap for the front is like half inch off the ground. About driving for a year now and I can say they are pretty beat up wouldn't even consider them mud flaps anymore.
