Default gsr questions

I have a b16 running on 6lbs right now and im bored of it. I want to get a gsr block and run 13ish lbs.. Would a gsr bolt up to a b16 head and y1 tranny? and how much power you think a gsr can safely make?

yes a GSR block will bolt up to the B16 head and tranny....GSR blocks (at stock compression) can make middle 300s and still be safe. Whats the static compression ratio w/ the B16/B18c combo?

Static compression drops down a tad to about 9.8 or so. There are sites for specific calculations available. The B16 headdoesn't have the quench spots that slightly raise compression like the GS-R head.

Ehh i figured the gsr would be alot easier to build power on.. But i still love my ol b16 and i dont think im getting rid of it. I dont think a gsr is gonna rev like mine does, so pistons and rods here we come!

more than likely you can make more power just by turning up the boost with a good tune. did you already have your car dyno tuned?
