1995 integra ls with greddy 18g turbo worth $5,000?
Im looking to buy this integra on craigslist that i found but dont know if hes asking too much for what hes put into it and i dont know much about how much the value of a car goes up for the modifications hes done.
Hes put in:
greedy 18g ball baring turbo
auto meter boost gauge
auto meter steel braided oil line
apex blow off valve
intercooler is preety new
a.r.p head studs
all new gaskets on the head and cams ect.
the computer is tuned for 10 pounds rite now it has a launch controller and all that good ****..
440 rc injectors
walbro 255 hp fuel pump
new ball joints
new t-stat
new plugs and wires
new exedy clutch
the car has 112,XXX and says theres a small bit of rust on the quarter body panels and that hes been using royal purple for all the fluids. I dont know if he blew the gaskets and had to replace them or he just replaced them for the hell of it but im just wondering if this is a good deal or if im better off buying a stock one and modding it myself
Thanks

it doesn't go up....unless you find a sucker buyer
buy stock and do it yourself....at least you know everything about the car that way
peace of mind > someone else's problem

I'd find out what he used to tune the ECU (Hondata, Uberdata, Chrome, Neptune, etc.). I'd also find out where/who he had do it. That's the most important thing on a turbocharged Honda. If the tune is off, you can easily ruin the engine.
The other hardware seems pretty legit though. How long has it been boosted? If it's been for a long time, i'd check if it smokes after boost...it shows signs of worn seals on the turbo and means it could probably use a rebuild.

yes its a clean title and he said he only drove it with the boost a handful of times so im only assuming it hasnt been on too long i e-mailed hima few days ago with some more questions and to ask him if i could go check it out but he hasnt responded yet.

ROFL!!!
You gonna fall for that ****??
"I put a turbo on my car, drove it a few times. Went real easy on it. Now I'm selling it."

^ Exactly. So really he means he has beat on it for a long time then is going to try and pass it off as though he modified it to not see the gains or drive it, but for someone else to enjoy.
If your serious bout it; run a compression check, see if he replaced bearings, etc.
But I would STAY away from that.

it doesnt seem like a scam at all i already talked to him on the phone and most craisglist scammers dont give their phone numbers. I guess i just dont think everything is a scam so dont "ROFL" me I dont see anything suspicious with putting boost and then needing money and being forced to sell it. Mabe its just me im new to this and modding in general thats why i made a thread to ask people who ovbiously know alot more then me. If its a scam and it seems theres something wrong then just let me know

He wants 5000 dollars for a car thats "excelent" KBB value is 1k less. So pretty much your getting charged way higher than blue book to get somebody elses project. Thats a scam if I have ever heard one. He's a liar trying to find a retard that will buy his car, dont be that retard.

It might not be a scam, just a POS. He is prolly trying to get rid of the car right before something major goes wrong.

i know the kbb value is way lower i fuigured he just jacked the price up because of the turbo and parts he put into it. From the responses it makes it alot clearer thanks, i think from all the negative responses about buying a ore-modified car im going to buy a stock and slowly mod it as i get the money like i was sort of leaning torwards
thanks again
thanks again
I'll just say this. I wouldn't buy any Integra with rust damage for $5000. Even if it was boosted. There are cleaner examples for roughly the same price. I'd rather have a clean LS for roughly $3000-$4000 and build my own turbo kit. But that's me.
no it makes sense now but like i said im new too all of this thats why i made a thread to ask you guys but from the responses its what im going to do.Thanks
